Raw C Easter Coconut Water has been found to contain traces of an undeclared allergen (Milk) that may cause a reaction in consumers with a milk allergy or intolerance. As soon as Raw C was made aware of the problem Food Standards Australia New Zealand was notified and Woolworths was advised to remove all affected product from sale.

Raw C is conducting thorough testing to work out how this occurred. Our product is proudly milk allergen-free and produced in a factory that does not make any milk or dairy products. We are working to determine whether an ingredient in the Easter  Coconut Water was contaminated prior to arriving at the Raw C factory. We are conducting in-house and external testing of all ingredients and Raw C products to try to determine the cause of the problem.

Raw C was notified on Tuesday 31 March by NSW Health of the contamination and immediately contacted Food Standards Australia and New Zealand and Woolworths to remove all product from sale in-store and online.

Only the Easter Coconut Water is known to be impacted at this time. Raw C is conducting thorough testing of all individual ingredients and products to ensure no other products have been affected.

If you purchased Easter Coconut Water you are able to return it to Woolworths for a full refund.

If you don’t suffer from any allergies the product is safe to consume. However, we do recommend it is disposed of or returned to Woolworths for refund as it has officially been recalled.
